Relax. You already have everything that you need. Your nature is already whole.
Your nature is already pure.
There is nothing to obtain. You just have to give
up and let go what is covering it.
~ Chamtrul Rinpoche
Chamtrul Rinpoche talks about what we
identify with. According to
Buddhism, all people have a
Buddha nature. And by
letting go of all misunderstandings about our
Buddha nature,
our true identity emerges, just as we wipe a diamond clean of dirt or have a cloudless
mind that does not darken our soul but shines through like the sun.
I have my
own version of
Buddha nature and that is that I have a
Buddha nature
that is love and that I try to express. I have discovered that love makes you blind to
the faults and shortcomings of other beings and deep love makes you begin to see
perfection in other beings. For example, I do not see pensioners as old, I just think
they are older. It is only now - the spring of 2025 that I have begun to see my fellow
beings with the eyes of love. It has not always been that way.
In 2000 I had
breathing problems in my apartment and in 2001 I had smell hallucinations and because
I also hear voices in my head I was diagnosed with
Paranoid Schizophrenia in
2001. I was cured of paranoid through talk therapy during my psychological
investigation.
I have been on heavy medication since 2001 which has made me
tired due to side effects from
Zuclopenthixol and overweight due to side effects from
Olanzapine. What I have
discovered in 2025 is that I am tricked by the voices into thinking about my problems
with poor hearing, breathing problems, stomach problems and that I believe what the
voices say. It can be compared to the dirt covering the diamond or the clouds
obscuring the sun.
The secret of Buddha nature is not only to have a constantly
and slowly improving perception of ourselves and other beings, but to express love and
be loving, when we meet other beings.
Lao Tsu, the great Chinese theosophist
and author of the Tao Te Ching, said over twenty-five houndred years ago, "The only
way to do is to be."Therefore, I believe that the only way to create love is to
consciously be love."

It is love that allows one to
feel whole or be healed, and of course this applies to other beings as well. The
Apostle John wrote almost 2000 years ago that:
Beloved, let us love one
another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth
God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he
that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16)
He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of
stumbling in him. (1 John 2:10)
Christians believe that if they fast and
pray enough, there will be revival and the churches will be filled with sinners. But
that is the wrong method. Instead, they should live a loving life and fill people
with God. That is better than filling churches with people. The
Dalai Lama is on the
right track:
There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain
and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness.
According to
Jesus, it is love and not fasting and prayers that leads to a righteous life:
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour
as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou
shalt live. (Luke 10:27-28)
The word religion comes from the Latin
"religare" which means roughly to reconnect, to recreate.
If any man will do
his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of
myself. (John 7:17)
We need to become one with God and love our neighbor as
ourselves through good deeds. By good deeds I mean deeds to make others feel good,
such as healing and deliverance. Doing good deeds is not the same as doing works of
the law as the Jews do and as some Christians do. The Christians believe that if you
just fast and attend prayer conferences where you cry out to God for revival, then
there will be an automatic revival in Sweden.
You don't have to fast for a
loving God to send revival over Sweden. It's enough if you yourself are loving and
then you smell of Christ. The same thing with prayer. I've seen Christians pray long
prayers out loud, believing that their prayers will be heard. But hey, God is not
actually deaf. What did Jesus say about prayer?
But thou, when thou prayest,
enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is
in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye
pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be
heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father
knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. (Matthew 6:6-8) and
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed
be thy name. (Matthew 6:9)
All people have God as their father, and we
should approach God as a child approaches his loving earthly father.
Thy
kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)
The kingdom of God spreads on earth through us doing
God's will as it is already being
done by those who live in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
(Matthew 6:11)
This applies to both our food for our body so that we don't go
hungry and food for our spirit so that we are satisfied.
But he answered and
said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)
And forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors. (Matthew 6:12)
Forgiving other people's
transgressions against ourselves is something we need to do in order to have peace.
And let us not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine
is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:13)
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you,
that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5)
God is
not the devil who tempts us, because there is no darkness in God. Rather, He is
100% light and only light can defeat the darkness in us.
For if ye forgive
men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive
not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
(Matthew 6:14-15)
Unforgiveness can be an obstacle to healing and a good life.
There are Christians who have accepted Jesus as savior and lord with their
lips. They claim that they can then rest in the belief that their ticket to heaven
after death is secured. As a Christian, they don't need to do anything else. But that
is not what Jesus taught:
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All
power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am
with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
It is not we, but Jesus who will work miracles through us and we will teach all people
and make them disciples of Jesus and we will baptize the disciples and for us who do
all this, Jesus will be with us until the end of time.
Come unto me, all ye
that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and
learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)
Jesus said
that he can give us rest when we are meek and lowly of heart and learn from him. That
way of living will give us peace in our souls and life will be easy to live. The same
is true of the Christ-conscious teacher Paul:
And be not conformed to this
world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is
that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)
The
renewal of our minds must happen constantly. Otherwise, we cannot do God's will in the
future. Instead, we bring something old into a new situation.
