Just like humans living off food
and water every day. A wise man lives off The Word of God, written down in all the
world's religious writings and through the good ideas and thoughts he receives each
day.
How should one evaluate religious texts and extracting the good out
them? Baird T. Spalding said an
important principle, when it comes to religious scriptures: "Truth is the same
regardless of the book that presents it or the teacher who proclaims it."
It applies very much his own book series where
spiritual thruths and
lies placed in the mouth of known and
unknown masters like Jesus and Buddha. The editor of the journal, The Seeker,
Sven Magnusson 1930-2008 said the following wise words:
Ignorance is
natural. One is not born rich on knowledge. But one can tread it wise search path,
listen to knowledgeable but critical persons, to read good literature and not naive
to accept everything. To travel on the wise search path consists largely in
increasing your knowledge, lucidity your sense and after review to submit attitudes
that do not have it good basis in experience and senses. The critical examining
thought is the search instrument number one.
I usually pray a sincere
prayer, and I read a chapter from Gospels and makes my
I AM affirmations,
morning and evening. I am a follower of Jesus, whilst recognizing the there is
wisdom in other religions. On my
