True Thought

"Stand in front of an old tree and cut it across. There you will see rings – decades of growth history, preserved in the body of the tree. Our cells work in a similar way. Even though they die and are reborn thousands of times during our lives, they carry with them a kind of archive of how they once felt.

Imagine that each cell is a library. On the shelves are books about when you were twenty, energetic and full of life. The problem is that the newest books – about stiffness, fatigue and age – are at the top and are the only ones we read. But the old books are still there. They have never been thrown away. So how do we turn back? By using the brain's most powerful tool: internal imagery.

When you close your eyes and paint a picture of yourself in your best years – perhaps when you ran easily, had unlimited energy, when your skin was glowing – you create a a kind of living shadow of that state. A phantom image of your younger body.

Here's the magic: this image is not just imagination. It is information. And the cells are listening. When you return to this image day after day, the cells start reading the old books again. They start behaving as they did twenty years ago, repairing themselves with the same energy, producing the same substances.

You're not just talking to your mind - you're sending instructions to your biology. And biology, tired of reading only pessimistic books, is just happy to finally have a positive story to follow."

But maybe you're thinking - To change my thoughts, when I feel bad, is to be false to myself.

Do you really want to feel bad? Don't you want to be healthy? and alert as an 18-year-old?. Don't you think you would feel better as a person if you only had good thoughts about yourself and your surroundings? If we don't have physical illnesses that cause pain, but only have negative thoughts about ourselves, the way is open for changes for the better.

You may have mental problems such as anxiety about the future, but can you provide a single piece of evidence that the future will be better by going around worrying about the future? The only thing that happens when you worry is that joy disappears and if you are lucky, only your psyche gets sick and not your body.

Negative thoughts are like birds that you see flying by. The technique is to not let the negative thoughts stay and build a nest in the world of thoughts, so that we feel bad. The same is true with positive thoughts. They are like birds that fly by. But if we let positive thoughts take root in our minds, we will feel good mentally and perhaps physically too.

"I have learned that just as man may touch the earth with his feet, so on the wings of aspiration may he soar to celestial heights. Like those of old, he may walk the earth and talk with God and the more he does so, the more difficult it will be for him to discover where Universal Life ends and where individual existence begins. When man forms an alliance with God through spiritual understanding, the boundary line between God and man disappears. When this point is reached, man will know what Jesus meant when He said,

"I and my Father are one."
(John 10:30)

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:24-26)

Following Jesus is not a difficult choice, because it makes us humble and gives us peace of mind. All we need to do is deny our selfish life and start living for the well-being of others.

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:10-12)

God wants to live through man. That is the greatest religious discovery I have made. All we need to do is try to express God 100%, not just by reading the Bible and not just going to Sunday meetings.

Stop chasing. You already have everything that you need. Your buddha nature is already whole. Your buddha nature is already pure. There is absolutely nothing to obtain. You just have to completely give up and let go of your self created obscurations that are obscuring your buddha nature.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:23-24)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)
