THE NEW AGE

The dawn was radiating its beams of light upon the peaks of the mountains around about Jerusalem. The old temple upon the summit of Mount Moriah slowly revealed its outlines as it emerged from the mist that was slowly dissolving under the penetrating rays of the sun.

A small group of men stood upon the roof-top watching the effect of the eternal miracle of Light. These men had spent the night with Jesus. They had been listening to His profound discourse upon the truth that should liberate the sons of men. Jesus had just left them. He had vanished, as He alawys had, by raising the vibrational frequencies of His body to the timing of the perpetual vibrations of light. Light, He explained to them, was God. The silence was broken by Thomas.

"Peter," he questioned, "Can you tell us of the wonderful metamorphosis of Jesus? Of that miraculous transfiguration that you witnessed upon the Mount?"

"No, Thomas," replied Peter. "Neither the sharp pens nor tongues of mortals can invent words that would depict that most wonderful spiritual phenomenon. It can only be revealed through the influence of the Master."

The group then directed their questions towards John. "Tell us," they said, "What did the Master mean by the New Age that would eventually come to the human race of men?"

"The New Age," answered John, "will come sooner or later. There is no definite time set for the close of this present era, or the dawn of the new epoch. It will depend upon circumstances. The Master definitely says that 'IT NEED NOT COME THROUGH WAR.' In fact, He gave us two new Commandments that, if practiced by men, would establish the New Age in a comparatively short period of time. It could be accomplished through the GOOD WILL OF MEN. His first Commandment is: 'To love the authority of the Lord over Deific Force with all our hearts and souls and minds.' And the second one is: 'To see value in each one with whom you come into contact; just as you see value within your own self.' 'These two laws,' said Jesus, 'represent the entire teachings of the Scriptures."'

- The next question was directed towards Peter. "What," he was asked, "would be the consummation of the present age and the dawn of the new epoch?"

Peter looked thoughtfully towards the rising sun. Then he answered: "l confidently expect a fresh, untainted atmosphere and a renovated earth, in which justice and fair-dealing is established. This," he added, "is according to the promise. This Jesus said would come when our inherited authority to use personally that great atomic or Deific Force had been taught and demonstrated to all the people of all the nations of the earth. Jesus, as we all know, has taught and demonstrated that great Force to each one of us. This was the Force with which He raised I.axarus from death. With His authority over this mighty Force He was enabled to heal the sick, the crippled, and the blind. He told each one of us that every individual has inherited the authority to use this heavenly power just the same as He does. When I asked Jesus why I was not able to do the same great work that He was doing He answered that IT WAS BECAUSE I PRAYED TOO LITTLE AND ATE TOO MUCH."

"But tell us," queried one of the group, "what unusual gem graphical and political events will designate that the time of this consummation is close at hand."

One of the group, who up to that time had maintained silence, now stepped forward. It was Matthew. "That question," said Matthew, "I believe I can answer. Just the other day Jesus gave us very definite instruction concerning the conditions that would precede the close of this Christian Era. I shall read you His words just as I wrote them down as He was talking."

(Matthew then read the words of vhat is now known as the 24th Chapter of Matthew. You may read a translation of this manuscript in this volume.)

Matthew paused as he finished reading his copy of the Master's words. He looked into the eyes of each one of his listeners before continuing his discourse. "I want you to know," Matthew resumed, "that it was good to hear these words from the very lips of the Master, and especially after telling of the terrible devastation that could be brought about by the use of the Machines of War, as written by the prophet Daniel. That 'HIS WORDS SHOULD NOT COME TO PASS.' And this terrible conflagration will not come to pass if the human race would obey the two commandments that John spoke of just a few moments ago."

There was another interval of thoughtful silence. It was John who spoke next. "This new age," John said, "was shown to me by the Master. It was at a time when l was conducted by Him into the air and saw a forecast of the future from the Mount of Revelation.

"In the New Age, each man will habitually use the Power of God to supply his own needs. The habitual use of this power will enable each individual to accomplish his own purposes. It will eliminate all evil from the world and even death will disappear. Man will regain his power, his dominion over the elements, and may travel from planet to planet, just as we did in the Days of the Golden Age. Jesus does this now. It IS accomplished, He says, by understanding how to use our inherited authority over this Power of God or God-Power.

"We know," he continued, "that our personal God is our Lord. It is probable that the earth may be scorched by another conflagration of the atmosphere, just as it was in the days of Noah. Such a catastrophe would bring the age to an abrupt close. The sufferings of the unlearned sons of men would be terrible. But Jesus has told us that each one who is sincere and strives to understand His law and to live according to His teachings would pass through this cataclysm without even the smell of fire upon their garments. The vibrations of their bodies would be of such a high frequency that they would become impervious to fire and suffering. Such an one could be sitting beside another upon a couch and would suffer no ill effects, while the other would, by his own mental processes, attract his own destruction."

Again there was an interval of silence. It was Matthew who continued the discussion. "The solution of the problem," said Matthew, "does not lie wholly within the hands of the people. It will be determined by a comparatively small group of politicians; those who have political authority over the nations of the earth. If it were left to the people there would be no war between nations. Wars are brought about by politicians who strive to assume despotic control over the people by physical force and machinery of war. It is possible that some of these Machines of War, prophesied by Daniel, might set off a violent explosion, the force of which would come into collision with the force that drives the earth in its orbit. This collision could cause a fluctuation that might in turn cause the earth to reel like a ship on a storm-tossed sea. The earth might even sway and roll out of its regular position as it did in those ancient days, when a similar catastrophe occurred and it rolled so far that the animals in the temperate zone were instantdy frozen in the glaciers of the Arctic. Then again, it could set off a chain reaction, as it did in the days of Noah. That calamity came as a thief in the night, without warning. - The elements were melted by the tremendous heat of the disintegrating atoms.

"But," continued Matthew, "Jesus told us that if such a calamity should come to pass, HE WOULD COME IMMEDIATELY. COME THROUGH THE STEAM AND SMOKE OF THE BURNING ATMOSPHERE AND DAMP THE CONFLAGRATION. WITH HIM WOULD COME THE GREAT TEACHERS FROM OTHER UNIVERSES WHO WOULD HELP RESTORE THE HARMONIOUS VIBRATION OF THE EARTH.

You remember how the Titians came and helped Noah at the time of the fiery deluge of the 8th Cycle."

"What," asked one of the group, "is the Old Testament word for 'harmonious vibrations'?"

"The Old Testament word defined as 'harmonious vibration,"' answered John, "is 'JERUSALEM.' This definition was revealed to me by the Master on the Mount of Revelation." ( Read Rev. 21 :2 this volume.)

"The closing words of my manuscript of the Apocalypse," continued John, "seem to have a particular importance. The Master refers to the planet Venus. When I asked Him for an explanation He told me to read the Book of Resheth. I obeyed His instruction. Let me read you this interesting account of the time that Jacob went to the Star of Venus, the Star of the Sun, and asked for help from the Most High."

As John drew the Scroll from his girdle the group gathered closely about to hear the words that the Master had directed him to study. These are the words:

"And Jacob arose and called upon the Underworld to bear witness that he was going to the Home of the Freeborn. And he lifted himself up and projected his spirit through the air to Venus, the Star of the Sun, the home of a High Priest of the Law Magnificent. A great Lord, the Most High, who dwelt upon the Star, resurrected and awakened him unto Life by a rationalization of his mind.

"Now the principle of the Law of the Pressure of Vibration of the Earth is in harmony with the pulsation of all the life of the Universes. This Law is administered by the Power of Deific Force."

"Now," said Peter, "you all know that Jesus could speak in every language of the world. This gift of language was also bestowed upon us at that great Pentacostal Initiation. Let us now bid each other God-speed and carry this message through our own works and words to all the future generations of the sons of men, that they may know Jesus' predictions of the New Age and be prepared to carry on. In this way they may perhaps avoid another world calamity. For this New Age will come, in spite of the works of evil men. It may come through a fluctuation of the Force of the Heavens, but it may also be established through the GOOD-WILL of men. The fate of the world may rest upon the decision of a comparatively small group of Politicians."

A RESUME of THE PREDICTIONS MADE BY JESUS CONCERNING THE END OF THE AGE

It was shortly after the morning oblations. Jerusalem was vibrant with the atmosphere of Spring. The trees were putting forth their tender branches and the tips of the green leaves were venturing from the innermost heart of the tree, where they had been prepared for their emergence into light.

From the portals of the Temple came a man dressed in a robe of glistening white. His hair, of golden red, shone with the brightness of the sun. And as he wended his way from the Temple, he walked with the grace and dignity of a god.

A few others then came from the Temple, and, seeing the man in white, they followed him as he walked toward a distant hill that has since been celled the Mount of Olives. The man in white paused and looked back toward the city. Beholding the group following him, he sat down upon a rock and waited.

One of the group then asked him that great question which, for ages, has been asked by every generation of man. "Tell us, Master, when shall come the end of this age? What shall he the significant events that will forecast its coming?"

The man in white gazed longingly upward toward His eternal homeland, far away in the super-heavens among the many universes of light. Jesus then spoke, for it was Jesus, and His answer was recorded by one of His students, named Matthew, and has been carefully preserved for the men of the earth by the guardians of the Temple.

"Keep mentally alert," said Jesus, "so that no man may deceive you. Many will come, claiming to be divinely inspired. Some shall even lay claim to the title of 'The Christ.' And they shall have many followers and believers. They shall mislead many. There shall be wars and gossip about wars. You shall be at the crisis of mentally accepting war, yea, at the very point of the swords of war. Take care that you study and attain knowledge so that you are not afraid. Nations shall rise up against nations; politicians against office-holders. These conditions shall be unavoidable. There shall be earthquakes, famine, and hunger. Those in political authority shall cause you to be killed, and to become unpopular because of your loyalty to my teachings. The interest of many shall wax cold, and they shall become indifferent and unconcerned because of the increase of lawlessness and sensuality. But every individual who lives intelligently and abides by my teachings shall be proteeted and safely guarded against destruction and death. Tbe people of every tribe and nation shall have heard the teaching concerning man's inherited authority over the whole earth. THEN SHALL COME THE END.

"When you shall see the abomination of desolation; the noise and discordant vibrations caused by the machinery of war; the devastation and depopulation of the earth spoken of by Daniel, the Prophet; you mav then know that the end of the age is close at hand. Just as these tender boughs foretell the coming of the Summer, so these very conditions of the world shall forecast the end of the age.

"At that time the deific, or atomic Force, the Force that is the life of all creatures of the universe, the Power that is the driving Force that holds the earth in its orbit and that Energy which motivates and controls the component parts of the atoms, even in the innermost core of the planet, shall be caused to fluctuate, and its tempo shall falter because of an impact or collision with the discordant vibrations of noise and evil thoughts that are projected from the earth. There shall be a clash or collision of atoms of such magnitude that the elements of the aeriform fluid surrounding the earth will be set on fire and the burning elements will scorch the earth.

"So it was, continued Jesus, " in the days of Noah, when a like condition caused great waves of burning atoms to be tossed to and fro in the storm above the earth. Many of those living on earth at that time were burned. The creatures of the earth were burned and lost their power of reasoning. The seas were agitated for many days and nights, and the vegetation of the planet was burned to ashes. Only the few who were with Noah and the Treasure Chest were saved from harm. They were protected bv the harmonizing vibrations from the Treasure Chest that restored the normal vibration to the atoms of the earth and sky.

"When this calamity comes to you," Jesus went on, "the sun shall be obscured by the steam and smoke of the burning elements. The moon cannot reflect the light and the stars shall fall from the heavens. The atmospheric pressure shall be so heavy that no flesh could long endure it. But, through the understanding of those who are advanced in the knowledge of science, the days of the pressure shall be shortened.

"At that time there may be two of you sitting upon one couch; one shall be acknowledged and the other abandoned. Two might be grinding at the mill; one shall be taken and the other mav be abandoned. If vou are upon the roof of the house, do not try to come down to take anything out of the house. If you are working in the field, do not try to return to the house to find your possessions. But whenever and wherever there is a terrible calamity, there, at that very spot, the eagles or prophets are waiting to welcome you.

"And at that very same time you shall see a most extraordinary phenomenon. The Son of Man shall be seen coming through the mist and steam of the burning elements, and The shall cause each individual on earth to reverberate so that each one shall be enabled to behold the Son of man approaching through the clouds of smoke and steam surrounding the earth.

"Great teachers and ambassadors shall assemble from other worlds, and they shall call together all who have an understanding of my teachings, and every one who is earnest seeking a knowledge of Light. And I. the Son of Man, shall appear in the midst of the steaming mist above the earth. And with a great trumpet I shall proclaim powerful ideas and words that will restore the harmonious vibration within the earth and its surrounding atmosphere. And so each one of you shall be conscious of the presence of the Son of Man and know that He is nigh unto every one of you.

"By Amen, I say unto you that the human race may not escape from these conditions that shall come to the atmosphere around the earth."

The Master paused a moment, then looking steadfastly into the eyes of His listeners, He said, "But these words of mine should not come to pass."

Again there was a silence that was broken by Matthew, "When, Master, when shall these conditions overtake the earth?"

"That," answered Jesus, "is not known even by myself. Neither is it known bv the ambassadors from the other universes. It will be governed entirely by the conditions produced by the noise of the machinery of war, and the vibrations from the thoughts of evil minded mortals. No one knows the day or the hour, but the calamity will come without warning, even as a thief in the night. Therefore you must be diligent and prepared, for you know not when your Lord, the Son of Man, may come."
