Note that at the end, the article states, "the UFO was at a height of about 12,000 ft".
This was in INCORRECT statement (which my father corrected on the side), since
it was sighted and reported at 1200 feet and not 12,000 - a very large difference.
My father called the reporter, who was also present at the sighting and questioned
him on this error. The reporter told my father that his boss and editor made the
change from 1200 to 12,000 because reporting it accurately so low over the
Nation's Capitol, would cause unnecessary problems from the Government and Military.
