Relax. You already have everything that you need. Your nature is already whole. Your nature is already pure.

There is nothing to obtain. You just have to give up and let go what is covering it.

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. (Luke 10:27-28)

To love God with all your being is to do God's will and not your own. To love your neighbor as yourself is to help solve your neighbor's problems, such as healing the sick and freeing them from wrong thoughts, to name a few things that Jesus Christ did when he carried out his mission on earth. Now Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of power in heaven and draws to himself all who want to live a spiritual life with God.

The word religion comes from the Latin "religare" which means roughly to reconnect, to recreate.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (Matthew 16:24)

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (Mark 8:34)

And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:27)

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

Jesus said that He can give us rest when we are meek and humble of heart and learn from Him. That way of living will give us peace in our souls and life will be easy to live.

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. (John 14:10-11)

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16)

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. (1 John 2:10)

The Apostle John was taught by Jesus Christ and writes in his letters that God is love and that it is only by being loving that we can expect to receive good gifts from our Father God.

Whoever follows Jesus Christ is not alone. But the Father/Holy Spirit/Jesus Christ lives within us and is the reason why the same miracles that Jesus Christ did still happen today. When we surrender our selfish lives and let the Father/Holy Spirit/Jesus Christ's unconditional love flow as grace to the needy, we are doing God's will.

In his letter to the Romans, Paul writes that what characterizes a follower of Jesus Christ is that one wants to do God's will and not one's own:

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)

A person does not love God by reading the Holy Scriptures every day and then twiddling their thumbs in the waiting room of death, waiting for eternal life in paradise after death. No, loving God is loving one's neighbor on earth and only wanting good for one's neighbor, and this is done by wanting to change according to God's ideas and thoughts that arise in the person's interior.

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17:20-21)

The renewal of our minds must happen constantly. Otherwise we cannot do God's will in the future. Instead we bring something old into a new situation.

What should I do to be a follower of Jesus Christ? You should not fast and pray for a revival that will never come. But you should open your mouth and preach about Jesus. And if you don't know how, you can always ask: "If I say Jesus, what do you say?" and you shall pray for the physically and mentally ill.

But then you say: "that I can't do it. I don't have the power like Jesus." It's all due to a misunderstanding. It's not you who is to perform the miracle, but the risen Jesus. Your task is to say a short prayer from the heart for the sick person.

You should not pray long prayers like the pagans do because they think that then your prayers will be heard. The reason you should pray a short prayer is because God is not deaf:

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.... And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils.... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:15-18)

Believe that it is the Father/Holy Spirit/Jesus Christ within you who will heal the sick and cast out demons from people, because it is not you who will perform miracles. Jesus said it clearly:

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. (Mark 10:27)

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatians 6:7-8)

The law of sowing and reaping applies to all people. When you begin to do God's will, the harvest will be different than when you did your own will.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. (John 1:16-17)

In the Jewish sham religion founded by smart businessmen and priests who wanted to rule over the people, one was supposed to follow the religious laws and sacrifice the firstborn to the zealous God who was a sacrificial god.

Jesus came and preached the religion of truth which is filled with grace and grace again. No people who have an incurable disease can be healed by their own works. But Jesus heals incurable sick people through his grace, even today around the world.
