The Essence of Christianity

I have not found any evidence in the New Testament, where Jesus asked the people of their belief.

The origin of belief control inside the christian movement, obviously came from Paul and not from Jesus.
"If we ourselves or a messenger from the sky should bring you a different "good word" from the one we brought you, let that person be damned."
-The letter from Paul to the Community in Galatia 1:8
In the instance above, Paul missed the mark according to Jesus teaching in Matthew 7:1-2, Luke 6:37.

If a person wants to follow Jesus, he must forget his egoistic life and begin to serve others.
"Come here to me, all you drudges and overburdened ones, and I will give you a rest. Put my yoke on and learn from me: I am gentle and humble at heart, and you will find rest for your souls, because my yoke is kindly and my yoke is light."
Matthew 11:29-30, (Matthew 10:39, Matthew 16:25, Mark 8:35, John 12:25).

"The highest person among you is to be the servant of you all, so those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted."
Matthew 23:11, (Mark 9:35, Mark 10:43)

"Lord, when was it that we saw you starving and fed you, or saw you thirsty and gave you something to drink? When did we see you wandering and take you in, or see you naked and clothe you? When were you sick or in jail and we came to see you?" "And the king will answer, 'Let me assure you, however much you did it for any of the least important of the brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me.' (Matthew 25:37-40)

"So you see that a person is made upright by actions and not by belief alone." (James 2:24)

"The fruits of the spirit, on the other hand, are love, joy, peace, patience, kindliness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control." (Galatians 5:22-23)
