I am a Buddha

Relax. You already have everything that you need. Your nature is already whole. Your nature is already pure.

There is nothing to obtain. You just have to give up and let go what is covering it.

~ Chamtrul Rinpoche

To attain the enlightened state of a buddha does not mean that we have to add something or create something that has never existed before. We also do not have to do something once it is attained. The moment that we remove all of the obscurations that cover our primordial nature, all of the enlightened qualities of a buddha just naturally, spontaneously and effortlessly arise.

~ Chamtrul Rinpoche

George Adamski was told by his space friends that: Man is a divine spirit who currently lives in a body. His life's task is to know his true self, which is equal to the 'feeling body'. "You must try to make the people on earth understand that self-knowledge is the first step in their development. And the first questions are: Who am I? Along what paths can I develop in order to return to the unity I once left? Point out to them that man has nothing to add. He only needs to express what he already is. But he must learn to understand what he is and give expression to this in his life. For it is life, the application, that is important."

Chamtrul Rinpoche and George Adamski point out that we do not need to add anything or create any new feeling in the emotional body by visualizing our divinity.

About 2600 years ago in India, soon after Siddhartha Gautama’s enlightenment, who was now a buddha, a man passed him on the road, and was stunned by his incredible energetic radiance.

Utterly humbled and in awe of his presence, the man asked,

"Are you a god?"

"No", said the Buddha.

"Are you a magician?"

"No", said the Buddha.

"Are you a human?"

"No", said the Buddha.

"Then what are you?"

The Buddha replied, "I am awake".

And this is the historical conversation where the term buddha originates from. That conversation between the Buddha and the passing man was spoken in Sanskrit. And the Sanskrit word for "awakened one", is Buddha. So his answer to that man became his historical title that he has always been known by.

"Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance." - Buddha

I have started meditating, not by sitting in a meditation posture, as I have a muscle condition. Instead, I lie down with the ceiling light on. If the room is dark, one might fall asleep. I relax my body and then let my thoughts come and go without judging them. I may experience darkness, but fundamentally I am light, and it is by experiencing light that I understand my true identity. I now understand what Jesus said:

Your eye is the lamp of the body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light; but when it is unhealthy, your body is in darkness. Therefore, see to it that the light within you is not darkness. If your whole body is full of light, with no part in darkness, then it will be wholly illuminated, just as when the light of a lamp shines upon you with its bright glow. (Luke 11:34-36)

Jesus spoke to them again, saying: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life." (John 8:12)

It is by becoming light through meditation that one attains liberation from darkness, not by pasting a figure of light onto oneself through faith.

We have all the good qualities inside of us, but we don't recognise them. The traditional example is that of a beggar who has a treasure buried in his hut under the ground, but he doesn't know it, so every day he goes out and he begs and he gets a few coins and thinks himself doing well. Meanwhile, he's been a multimillionaire all this time, but he's not looking in the right place. He doesn't know that he has to dig down and then that treasure will be revealed to him.

We are like that. We all think that we're deprived, that we're not good people, that we have all these problems, that we have very low self-esteem and always criticising ourselves, and our internal dialogue is often putting ourselves down rather than embellishing our potential and recognising that we do have this inner potential of genuine basic goodness, our Buddha-nature. Which all beings have. It's not just, "I have Buddha-nature and everyone else is just a sentient being". All sentient beings have Buddha-nature. In the Vajrayana, this is what is refered to as the pride of the deity. That we see oneself as the deity and recognise that this is our true nature. - Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ

It is a mistake to believe that Jesusism is the worship of a creator god sitting on a throne in a place called heaven. According to Jesus and Paul, the creator god exists within the human being, and true heaven is a higher state of consciousness.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me? The words I speak to you I do not speak on my own authority. The Father dwells in me, and the deeds are his works. Believe me: I am in the Father and the Father is in me. And if you cannot, then believe because of the works themselves. I tell you the truth: Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do. And greater works than these he shall do, because I go to the Father. (John 14:10-12)

This means that it is the Father within the human being who shall do greater works than those Jesus did.

Jesus said to her: "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them that I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God." (John 20:17)

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

When Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, he answered:" The Kingdom of God does not come in a way that can be seen with the eyes. No one shall be able to say: Look, here it is, or: There it is. No, the Kingdom of God is within you and in your midst." (Luke 17:20-21)

For in him we live and move and have our being, just as some of your own poets have said: We are of his lineage. (Acts 17:28)

All miracles performed since the very beginning of humanity bear witness to the fact that there is a Creator God who intervenes in creation.

Jesus looked at them and said: "For humans it is impossible, but not for God. For with God all things are possible." (Mark 10:27)

According to Jesus, one becomes enlightened and John, when through love one receives God's good ideas and God's good thoughts, which result in speaking God's good words and performing God's good deeds.

Jesus answered: "The most important is this: Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is one (not three). And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. Then comes this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these." (Mark 12:29-31)

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love has not come to know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)

And we have come to know the love that God has for us and believe in it. God is love. Whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (1 John 4:16)

Belonging to Jesusism does not mean confessing Jesus as Savior for eternal life in heaven and then being content with that, while trying to win as many people as possible for heaven. According to classical Christianity, people are lost to eternal hell if they do not accept Jesus as Savior in this life.

Jesusism means being a FOLLOWER of Jesus and having love for creation, and therefore wanting to solve problems. First and foremost, by praying for people who are physically and mentally ill. Jesus said that a life of giving is an easier life than one of selfishness.

In everything I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words that the Lord Jesus himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, packed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:37-38)

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart....and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)

LEARN FROM ME, says Jesus, and that means LEARNING FROM Jesus' life as described in the four Gospels, in a gentle and humble way. What does one gain as a FOLLOWER of Jesus?

....Those who have done good will rise to life, and those who have done evil will rise to judgment. (John 5:29)

Buddhists walk the golden mean, free from excess and asceticism, and Jesus was familiar with that path when he said:

Enter through the narrow gate. The gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But the gate is narrow and the road is small that leads to life, and few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
