Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every
one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God;
for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)
And we have known and believed the love
that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and
God in him. (1 John 4:16)
And Jesus answered him, The first of all
the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord (not three): And
thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the
second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none
other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:29-31)
He that
loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in
him. (1 John 2:10)
The apostle John was the disciple whom Jesus Christ
loved with divine love. (John 21:20-24). The writer John had the deepest insight
into Jesus' teachings and it is found in the Gospel of John and the 3 Epistles of
John. If you are completely new as a follower of Christ and have never read the
Bible, start by reading them. That way you will get the deepest insight into the
true teachings of Jesus.
