Focus on God

I have solved the problem of the darkness within man. Focus on God instead. Contemplate and see God’s attributes within yourself: Love, Joy, Light, Health, and Abundance.

Jesus answered: "The foremost is this: Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is one (not three). And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. Then comes this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these." (Mark 12:29-31)

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love has not come to know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)

And we have come to know the love that God has for us and believe in it. God is love. Whoever remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. (1 John 4:16)

The most important thing is to love God, by reflecting on, seeing, and embodying love. And then to love one’s neighbor as oneself.

Jesus answered her: "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again. But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. The water I give will become a spring within him, with water flowing up to eternal life." (John 4:13-14)

On the last day, the greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and cried out: "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me! And let him drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from within him." He said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive. For the Spirit had not yet come, because Jesus had not yet been glorified. (John 7:37-39)

God IS joy, and by serving others, we turn on the tap of joy.

Your eye is the lamp of the body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light; but when it is unhealthy, your body is in darkness. Therefore, see to it that the light within you is not darkness. If your whole body is full of light, with no part in darkness, then it will be wholly illuminated, just as when the light of a lamp shines upon you with its bright glow. (Luke 11:34-36)

Jesus spoke to them again, saying: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life." (John 8:12)

Since dark thoughts and feelings are merely thoughts and feelings, which can seem real and lead to captivity, one should regard them as illusions. Bright thoughts and feelings are also just thoughts and feelings, but they lead to liberation from darkness.

For if you forgive people their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive people, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matthew 6:14-15)

Health comes from forgiving the trespasses of others. Holding onto unforgiveness creates sickness in the mind and/or the body.

For in him we live and move and have our being, as even some of your own poets have said: We are his offspring. (Acts 17:28)

Jesus looked at them and said: "For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. For with God all things are possible." (Mark 10:27)

Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" (Luke 11:13)

Do you not believe that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me? The words I speak to you I do not speak on my own authority. The Father dwells in me and the deeds are his works. Believe me: I am in the Father and the Father is in me. And if you cannot, then believe because of the works themselves. I tell you the truth: Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do. And greater works than these shall he do, because I am going to the Father. (John 14:10-12)

Jesus said to her: "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them that I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God." (John 20:17)

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

When Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered: "The kingdom of God does not come in a way that can be seen with the eyes. No one will be able to say: Look, here it is, or: There it is. No, the kingdom of God is within you and in your midst." (Luke 17:20-21)

When we are sick, we need to seek God for healing, believing that He can heal us. For humans, it is impossible to be healed through miracles. But for the God of miracles, nothing is impossible. God is present throughout creation, and this is the basis for healing at a distance. All we need to do is be assured that God can heal and does heal from within.

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, packed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:37–38)

Instead of criticizing other religions and other preachers, one can point out what one finds good in one's own religion. Jesus came to teach humanity the universal laws that govern human life. Therefore, it is important to read the words of Jesus from the four Gospels every day.

"That there is an all-wise, intelligent Spirit, that this intelligence is Divine and infinite and permeates all things, cannot be contradicted. Because this intelligence does permeate all things it is infinite and is the source of all. It is Divine, and its Divinity brought into thinkable or visible form, the fact or truth of all things.

You can name this all-wise, intelligent Spirit God or Good, or what you will, as man must have a name for everything. Once he has named a thing, he has the power to bring it into existence. If man names anything through true reverence, worship and praise, he can and does become which he names.

Thus you can see that man by choice can become God or animal. He becomes the ideal which he presents for himself to follow. With this line of thinking, it is simple to see that man is the only begotten Son of God, or the only begotten son of the animal. Thus, by choice, man can become evil or devil if his eye behold evil, or he becomes God, if his eyes beholds God ....
