Why should you choose Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Jesus came to
show who God really is. That God is unconditional love and not a bunch of rules to
follow. That God loves us as we are, regardless of our sin, guilt, and shame. Jesus
wants to save all people to eternal spiritual life with God:
Jesus saith
unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from
henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew
us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long
time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen
the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I
am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not
of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that
I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall
he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
(Johns 14:6-12)
Jesus himself did not perform any miracles or
proclaim the good news. It was the Father within him who performed all the miracles
and proclaimed the truth of the spiritual world on earth. Jesus did not do his own
will, but God's will. He taught everyone else that they could do God's will and thus
live in the kingdom of God on earth. This is what Jesus called being born from above
or born again:
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler
of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know
that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou
doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he
enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound
thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one
that is born of the Spirit. (John 3:1-8)
But the hour cometh,
and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in
truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that
worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-24)
God created the earth with all its inhabitants and the inhabitants are born of
flesh and see with flesh. But man can by becoming one with the spirit God, see the
world through the eyes of God and express the spirit God through his life.)
According to George Adamski
extraterrestrials, all beings express the Cosmic Intelligence. Each according to his
ability. Man is created to express God's will and proclaim the good news to all
creation. Why should you choose Jesus as your savior and lord? Is that because Jesus
sits at God's right hand in heaven and can from heaven reach all people especially
with healing and
liberation but can also fill
other needs:
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men
unto me. (John 12:32)
Jesus therefore has the ability to heal and free
people today. Because he sits in heaven and draws everyone to himself. Talk about the
greatest revival in history! Of course, Jesus still does not do his own will, but
God's will. If Jesus were to
suddenly do his own will, he would be cast out of the kingdom of God, just like the
Devil.
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God
should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with
observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom
of God is within you. (Luke 17:20-21)
And be not conformed to
this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove
what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
(Matthew 6:10)
And when he had called the people unto him with his
disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall
lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same
shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
(Mark 8:34-37)
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as
certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
(Acts 17:28)
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and
every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth
not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)
And we have known and
believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love
dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16)
And he answering said,
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
(Luke 10:27-28)
He that loveth his brother abideth in the light,
and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. (1 John 2:10)
If all
people would learn to live in
love and do God's will, instead of their own will. God's kingdom would be
established on earth. No more wars, no more violence, no more hatred and no poverty
and everyone is of equal value.
