Accept that God knows better

"The ideal image of the flower in minutest detail is within the
seed and must expand, multiply, unfold, and be wrought into the perfect flower by
hourly preparation. When this inner image is complete in minutest detail, the flower
comes forth beautiful. Just so God holds the ideal image of every child in mind, the
perfect image through which He wishes to express.
We can get more out of this
ideal way of expression than the flower does if we will but let God express through
us in the ideal way He has conceived for us. It is only when we take things into our
own hands that the problems and difficulties begin. This is not for one, or a few,
this is for all. It has been shown us that we are not different from you. It is a
difference in understanding, that is all.
"All the different isms, cults, and
creeds, all the different angles of all beliefs, are all good for they will eventually
lead their followers to the realization that underneath all there is a deep factor of
actuality that has been missed, a deep something that has not been contacted or they
have failed to contact that which rightly belongs to them, which they can and should
rightfully possess.
We see it is this very thing that will eventually drive man
to possess all. The very fact that man knows there is something to possess, which can
be possessed and which he has not, will goad him on until he has it. It is in this way
every step in advance is made in all things.
The idea is first pressed out from
God’s into man’s consciousness and he sees there is something ahead if he will but go
on. Here man usually blunders and fails to recognize the source from which the idea
came; but thinks that it came wholly from within himself.
He gets away from God
and, instead of letting God express through him the perfection God sees for him, he
goes on and expresses in his own way and brings forth imperfectly the thing which
should be perfectly wrought or manifest.
If he should but realize that every
idea is a direct, perfect expression from God and, as soon as this idea comes to him,
he would immediately make it his ideal to be expressed from God, then take his mortal
hands off and let God express through him the perfect way, this ideal would come forth
perfect.
Here we must realize that God is above the mortal and the mortal cannot
help in any way. In this way man would learn in a short time to express perfection.
The one great thing man must learn is to get forever through and out of the psychic or
mind forces and express directly from God, for all psychic forces are created wholly
by man and they are likely to mislead."

I have used willpower (could it be psychic powers and
mind powers?) to give love to the world when I walk around my apartment. But I have
experienced that there has been psychic resistance to it. I have not felt good about it.
But when I have contacted God's idea of love and allowed God to express it through me,
I have succeeded in loving the world without mental resistance. I do not claim that I
have succeeded in loving the world through God's thoughts of love all the time.
How do you recognize God's ideas of love? They come as a revelation. Like when inventors
get an idea. You ask how do you get God's ideas in everyday life and not just through
prayer at the weekly prayer meeting and the Sunday church meeting?
I surrender
my life into God's hands and allow myself to be a channel for God's ideas and thoughts.
Instead of asking God for ideas and thoughts, I usually desire to express God's ideas
and thoughts by doing God's will.
It is by loving to
express the highest consciousness that comes to one from God, that one can express
perfection: The mistake that many people, including myself, make is to believe that if
we are well inside and can live a selfish life, then everything is perfect.
Here
we must realize that God wants us to abandon our egoism and express what is in God's
mind right now. Jesus and the apostle John were very clear that all who want to be
disciples of Jesus must above all else (crucify their egoism) and love God and their
neighbor with their whole being. Only then can we be called Jesus' true disciples.
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life
shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast
away? (Luke 9:23-25)
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for
I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:29-30)
And Jesus
answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our
God is one (not three) Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the
first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:29-31)
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that
loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God
is love. (1 John 4:7-8)
And we have known and believed the love that
God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God
in him. (1 John 4:16)
It is comfortable to walk in old footsteps,
especially if we only call ourselves disciples of Jesus at the weekly prayer meeting
and Sunday meeting. Having to abandon our comfort when God's ideas, thoughts, words
and actions knock on the door of our consciousness can be painful for some. Then we
only love God when it suits us and miss out on God's guidance.
There was a man
of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by
night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for
no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered
and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he
cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born
when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and
of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the
flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said
unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest
the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is
every one that is born of the Spirit. (John 3:1-8)
Our task in life is
to FIRST seek the kingdom of God and THEN we will receive healing, deliverance and
everything else.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
Jesus, who always did God's will, told how it happened:
If ye
then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall
your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? (Luke 11:13)
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the
words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me,
he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else
believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth
on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father. (John 14:10-12)
Know ye not that ye are
the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should
come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within
you. (Luke 17:20-21)
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(2 Corinthians 5:17)
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye
put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
(Ephesians 4:23-24)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)
